Caleb (’98) and Mary (’95 Samuel) Bottrell
In the fall of 1999, God, in His marvelous mercy, saw fit to put my lovely wife and me into the ministry in Lawrence, Kansas. Hello from the Brocks in Rapid City, South Dakota! It has been one year since we made the big move from Northwest Indiana to our new ministry at Liberty Baptist Tabernacle in the beautiful Black Hills, and the Lord has been so good in that time. Our new church family immediately welcomed us with open arms and we felt at home from the very first service we attended. We were grateful to see our children

Tim (’99) and Sarah Weech
Hello! My name is Timothy Weech, and I graduated from Fairhaven in 1999, having experienced the best time of my life second to family, home and church. Probably the most valuable experiences while I was on campus was the preaching, both in chapel and church services! God
Abigail Smith (’12)
Greetings from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! I am Abigail Smith, and I graduated in 2012. If you would have told me that this Yankee girl would end up in the humid south, I would never have believed you! My plan after graduating college was to return to my beautiful Michigan town and teach there until I died. You would have thought that I would have learned by then that: “God’s ways are not our

Joy Zdziarski (’19)
Hello from New Mexico! My name is Joy Zdziarski. I graduated from Fairhaven Baptist College in 2019. Teaching in Las Cruces, NM has been such an unexpected blessing. When I signed on to teach at Cornerstone Christian Academy, I did not expect to last longer than a year. Well, three years later I am still teaching. I have a great group of kids, and I love being their teacher. Once again God’s way was best.

I am so thankful that God has allowed me to minister here at Victory Baptist Church in Osawatomie, KS. Just two days after I graduated college in May of 2017, I started what was intended to be a three-month internship. However, God opened the door for me to become the Assistant Pastor here in January of 2018. There have been many new and exciting learning opportunities for me since I first started in full time

Zachary Damm (’15)
When one signs up to serve the Lord, one never knows where His direction for life will lead. As has often been said, it is not about how you start a race, but how you finish it. My story with the Lord could be said to have started with my salvation at age thirteen. I had grown up in a Christian home and acknowledged that all that the Bible taught was true. I had even
Scott (’93) and Tammy (’95 Stockman) Sinz
2020 has definitely been a year to remember! It has been filled with uncertainties, challenges, and difficulties. Yet amongst all of that, the Lord has showed Himself strong and bountiful in blessings. In mid-January we had a super early Spring revival with Brother Boyd Collins. The Lord stirred in hearts through the messages that He brought. I had shared with the folks at the New Year that I felt the Lord was going to take
Ron (’13) and Melissa Quick
Over the seven years since graduating from Fairhaven Baptist College, I have often thought of the spiritual challenge I received after the first activity we had on Labor Day of 2010. Bro. Eric Ramos spoke on the events in Elijah’s life as he hid from Ahab in the wilderness and was fed by the ravens. His key thought was to ask God to “do a miracle in my life” during our time spent at Fairhaven.
Josh (’16) and Laura (’16 Ansley) Barzon

We have a small group of people that are eager to learn the

Caleb (’14) and Cassandra (’14 Kuhn) Smith
It has been a busy year for the Smith family! About a year ago, our church sold its old property. This was a wonderful opportunity for us since we needed larger facilities. Moving a church was quite an adventure. We were blessed with a nice place to meet while we search for a new property to buy, as well as a place to store all our extra supplies. In November of last year, God blessed

After facing discouragement about the fact that I had been out of college several years and was not married or in full time service,
Jeremy (’04) and Heather (Lewis ’04) Ingalls
It has been so exciting to see all the opportunities that God has given us to serve. Being an over the road missionary has brought its challenges to raising a family and being involved in our local church. We are constantly all over the country in other churches but seldom home to be involved in our own church or have the kids on any kind of a schedule. But this last year with us building
Drew (’10) & Lela Mahaney
We are Drew and Lela Mahaney Missionaries to South Korea. We left Fairhaven in 2012 to move to Texas and prepare for our upcoming ministry in foreign missions. We now have three boys Eric (2012), Nathanael(2014), and Reagan (2017). God has blessed our family beyond compare. When I chose, by God’s leading, to attend Fairhaven I knew God wanted me to return to Korea in some capacity. Whether that be a missionary or an English
Brian (’09) and Sarah (’10 Swangim) Boots
It has been over 3 ½ years since we moved to Virginia to help Brian’s brother plant a church about 20 miles west of Richmond. Mt. Victory Baptist Church was started by Pastor Steve Boots in October 2016. God’s hand

Brenda Champo (’15)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It is very exciting to be in the will of God. Things are not always easy, but the LORD helps us to keep going. We have to lean on Him for everything. He knows us best and He knows what we can handle. Many of you know that my mom went to heaven. I only spent a month with her after college. This was not very easy, but the LORD gave me the strength
Dave (’93) and Belinda (Notestine ’93) Mallinak
Life and ministry get crazy busy sometimes, and the past few months have certainly fit that description. Since the school year started, we have felt like someone turned the treadmill up to its highest setting. Berean Baptist Church celebrated our 60th anniversary this year! We had a wonderful week of preaching, with fourteen different preachers and many friends gathering to celebrate. We also made a video to document God’s providential hand in upholding and preserving us

Greetings from the DePriests in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! This month (October) marks the completion of my first year as the pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Port Townsend, WA. In 2011, my father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. He went to be with the Lord in early 2012. For a variety of reasons, I began praying about moving here to this area. God confirmed that He would be moving us to Sequim (pronounced “Skwim”).

John Yingling (’87)
In Numbers 10:10 God instructed the Israelites to mark the beginning of a new month with trumpets. This was to be a memorial to God in recognizing His grace and favor in their lives. I am thankful for new beginnings in my life and ministry. On May 11, Aimee graduated cum laude from Pensacola Christian College and received her B.S. in Elementary Education. Thank you for your many prayers for her these last four years.

Hello dear friends at Fairhaven Baptist Church and College, FIND GOD’S WILL AND DO IT! All throughout my college years I saw this monument standing outside of our church building. I always believed that when I graduated from college I would find God’s will and do it. Even though I did not find His will right away after completing my teaching degree, I can say with certainty that God worked in my life in wonderful
Faith Capps (’02)
When you enlist in full time ministry for your life work, it is amazing at how exciting and incredible your wildest dreams can become. This is exactly what it is like serving here at Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The rewards in service far outweigh the struggles that ministry brings. On Sundays, there are multiple ministries to invest in which include the bus route, playing the piano for our Spanish ministry and special groups,

Or maybe you know a bit more about York, and you think of all the industry that has been based here. Whatever your thoughts, God has allowed Tom and I the opportunity to serve Him here. God brought us to a place that was very different

Greetings to you! A lot of changes have happened in the ministry for us in the past couple of years. We had been missionaries in Puerto Rico from 2000 till November 2015. God blessed in so many ways while we were there in allowing us to assist in helping two missionaries plant churches, planting another brand new church, and ending our time there restarting another church that had closed itʼs doors. We praise the Lord

In August 1981, I became the oldest student to have enrolled as a Fairhaven Baptist College student. I had come from a business career in Marketing and Sales for an international hotel corporation. Needless to say, I was old enough to be the father of most of the enrolling freshmen. I was marked as the ‘old man‘. On April 29, 2016, I turned 72 years old. I was saved at the age of 27 and
Arturo and Nicole (Metras ’97) Munoz
Our Ministry Time just flies! I graduated from Fairhaven in 1997. In 1998 a young man, named Arturo Munoz, visited my church; he was a missionary to Mexico, a place where God had called me to go while I was a student at Fairhaven. The following year, in 1999, we got married, and six months later we started deputation. Praise the Lord, God allowed us to visit over one hundred churches in a little over
Ben and April (Teesdale) Newman (’04)
Hello Fairhaven! Here is an update from the Newmans. Both Ben and April graduated college in 2004, Ben with his Master’s in 2005. We were married in June of 2005, more than 10 years ago – kind of hard to believe. After we were married, we remained in Chesterton for almost three years. Ben drove a truck, and April worked for a mortgage company. During these first years, we were part of the ministry of
Jason (’03) and Aimee (Hoover ’03) Atwood
This past month of March has been busy for our church and personal lives. The beginning of the month included our quarterly youth rally that we host at our church. Last year our youth pastor had the burden to start a regional youth rally. The first one included 6 different churches with about 50 teens in attendance. This last one in March had about 5 different churches attend with 45 total teens. It has been
Jason (’97) and Becky (Finch ’98) Muller
The Mullers are missionaries in Mongolia. They recently moved their church into another building. This was a blessing, but there was much needed remodeling. Here are some pictures of their remodeling work as well as some other pictures from their ministry!
John and Abby (’07) Lafreniere
I was raised in a Christian home. In 2003 I enrolled at Fairhaven Baptist College. During my last year as a student, I was engaged to John Lafreniere who was working as a youth pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Waterbury, Connecticut. After several years of marriage, the Lord led John to start an independent Baptist church in his hometown of Fairfield, Connecticut. We made plans for this transition in our lives. We scheduled deputation

Bill Adams (’99)
In October of 2014, after eight wonderful years of pastoring the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC, I began the pastorate at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Spring Hill, TN. Gospel Light Baptist Church is a small church that had purchased property in 2012 and renovated a home to hold services. Spring Hill is the 14th fastest growing city in America. We are the only Independent Baptist Church using the KJB and going door-to-door soul
Sharon Leslie (’08)
Hi! I’m Sharon Leslie, Mr. Leslie’s daughter…the “older” Mr. Leslie. And when Lindsey does the airplane with her hand and says, “Cha…Utah!” That’s me! I am a member of Berean Baptist Church in Ogden, Utah, and I teach in our academy here. The large part of my ministry…thus my life, is spent with children in school, Sunday School, bus routes, and nursery. It thrills me, then, to think of how Christ directly related service and
Gary and Kathy (’93) Ashley
The year 1989 was life-changing for me. Having come from the South, a small fundamental Baptist church, a good Christian school, a godly pastor’s family, I found myself suddenly without all with which I had been surrounded. No one from my church or Christian school had attended Fairhaven Baptist College. Yet, I knew that was where God wanted me to be. Through those four years I learned many, many things. The professors were excellent, the
Matt (’95) and Wilma (’95) Furse
God has been Good! My wife, Wilma, (Schrock) & I both graduated from FBC in 1995. We have been serving the Lord, here in the Black Hills of Wyoming & South Dakota ever since! As a Pastor’s family, we have enjoyed God’s blessings, and we have so much to be thankful for! Over the years, God has proven Himself faithful, and our children believe in Him, too. We are confident of their trust in His
Jonn Morrow – Graduate
Having both a father and a grandfather as Baptist pastors, Jonn Morrow’s earliest memories included seeing the work of the ministry firsthand. Jonn’s father dedicated himself to helping young Baptist churches grow. This took his family to the Upper Peninsula, Traverse City, and Lansing, Michigan. As a high schooler, Jonn’s family moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Jonn recalls his father’s commitment to be a godly influence on his children. Family prayer, devotions, and ministry work
James McDonald – Graduate
James McDonald was raised by a farmer. His dad farmed 160 acres of corn, alfalfa, and soybeans. James, along with his two brothers, Daniel and Rob, baled a lot of hay and chopped loads of wood growing up. Ray McDonald saw that his boys were educated from kindergarten up at Fairhaven Baptist Academy, where his wife Lois taught for many years. Ray was a faithful member of Fairhaven Baptist Church for decades, and he passed
Kyle and Elizabeth Allen
Kyle Allen was raised a “farm boy.” Growing up in the cornfields of West Central Indiana gave him ample opportunity to be taught the value of hard work from his father. Sowing and reaping were Bible truths made clear to him as he labored in his youth. Kyle moved a couple of hours north of his home to attend Fairhaven Baptist College in 2001. While in school, Kyle learned that many principles he learned on
