We appreciate all of you who are praying for our family and the ministry of Heritage Baptist Church in Manheim, Pa. We are thankful for the many blessings we have received over the past year, and we are excited about what God will do in 2019.

One of the highlights of last year was the church’s anniversary Sunday at the end of October. We had a record attendance of 110, with many visitors. Many prayers were answered that day. People that we have worked and prayed for to come to church for a couple of years finally came! Souls were saved, and two new families have joined the church since then.

Of course, the Devil is not happy with people being reached for Christ, so he has worked to counter the work of God in our church. Satan often uses people and situations to discourage us, but we are encouraged when we focus on God’s blessings instead of the battles. Despite the difficulty, three souls have been saved in the past two weeks—two of whom have been attending church for some time. Four people in our church were baptized about a month ago. We are thankful for the opportunity to minister to many children and families each week through the bus ministry. We average from 10 to 20 kids in junior church each Sunday morning. Many of these children have been saved because of the bus ministry. Les and Heather Hawthorne have recently joined our church, and they have been a tremendous blessing in running the junior church and serving in many ways.

Please pray that the Lord will spiritually strengthen the people of our church so that they can be equipped for the ministry God has for them. We are praying for more faithful workers and a bus driver so that we can start a second bus route in the city of Lancaster.

Sincerely,
Pastor Michael and Jenny Hunt and family
